The weekend can't come fast enough for school age children. Addie is no different. Saturday mornings mean staying in "jammies" longer, sometimes it means a big breakfast, playing, and cartoons. While the kids watch 1/2-1 hour of cartoons after school there is a lot going on at that time, a different pace.
Addie and her brothers are allowed to eat breakfast in front of the t.v. on Saturday morning (only other time they can eat in front of the t.v. is for after school snack). Addie's favorite cartoon is Scooby Doo (mine too).
Having 4 kids means running a bit of a tight ship. Saturday mornings are one of the few unstructured lazy times we are able to enjoy.

Two eight-year-olds--one in Minnesota and one in Denmark--a little bit inspired by the idea of Flat Stanley, exchange a favorite stuffed toy and take it on adventures where they live. Along the way, they learn a bit about where the other one lives.
The two girls have lots in common, but we'll no doubt get to that as the blog progresses.
